The large loose ring acts as a second bit and encircles the lower jaw, helps to control pulling and lugging by the horse. It adds lateral guiding effect and gives very clear direct, that increase jockey's steering and stopping power especially headstrong racehorses.
The Copper (Cuprium) Mouthpiece
Cuprium material mix: 85% copper, 4% silicon, rest zinc for High breaking strength.
Copper encourages the production of saliva and the oxidation is much appreciated by horses because it warms up very quickly in the horse's mouth as compared to other materials.
