A Reining Curb bit is designed for positive control which works on several parts of a horse's head, mouth and tongue. The mouthpiece acts on the bars, tongue and roof of the mouth. The loose shanks allow excellent direct-rein and neck-rein response. The shanks add leverage and place pressure on the poll via the crown piece of the bridle, since this bit has limited bend so it effectively acts like a Mullen mouth piece but provides independent side bar movements, this bit is not recommended for new or untrained riders. It is designed for trained and professional riders.
Roller mouthpiece helps in independent side movements of the shanks while Copper Inlays encourages saliva production and acceptance of the bit by horse.
