Weymouth Snaffle Horse Bit Special Angle Set with Loose Ring jointed Bridoon CUP
The Special port 30 degrees forward angle designed to sit unobtrusively in the mouth this Weymouth offers broad space for horse tongue. Weymouth is an English leverage bit. Weymouth gives a good lifting action without upper palate interference. It sits properly and comfortably in the horse's mouth; the Special port lays down flat on the tongue with 30 degrees until the rein aids are used. depending on the rider how the reins are handled, the port may rotate up slightly. It shouldn’t rotate enough to press hard onto the palate of the horse’s mouth. Generally, they are to be used in more advanced riding, where the horse must be more responsive to the rider's aids. If misused then it tends to be very painful for the horse.
Weymouth are curb bits to be used in conjunction with a bridoon as part of the double bridle Weymouth.
Bridoon
Bridoons work in the exact same way as a snaffle, it has thinner mouthpiece and smaller rings then a snaffle and sits above the curb to regulate horizontal flexion, single jointed bridoon bit distributes even pressure across the tongue and lips. Bridoon is used with either a double or full bridle
Copper (Cuprium) CUP
Cuprium material mix: 85% copper, 4% silicon, rest zinc for High breaking strength.
Copper encourages the production of saliva and the oxidation is much appreciated by horses because it warms up very quickly in the horse's mouth as compared to other materials. Copper keeps the mouth wet and responsive.
